This June 2016 I will be 22 years old and was born and raised in Chesterfield County Virginia, just south of Richmond. I grew up going to church at St Davids, only a few minutes drive from my parent's home. It has been a lovely and supportive community all through my young life.
As a young person I participated in the Episcopal Youth Community frequently and was honored to be elected as president my senior year. I participated in the happening experience at #55, and was called to be vicar at #57. I could not have asked for a better community to help me develop my faith.
In 2012 I graduated high school from Thomas Dale's specialty center for visual arts and decided to work as a cabin councilor at Camp Chanco. This was a life changing and challenging experience, but helped me to realize my joy in working with young people.
After that summer I moved on to college at Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA. Although I came in expecting to major in Anthropology, I found myself drawn to religious studies classes and eventually decided that would be my major. I have also spent much of my time on the Rugby pitch with my favorite women on campus. I have grown to love my team and my sport and will miss playing deeply while I am abroad. This decision to attend Mary Washington has been one of the best that I could have made and I will deeply miss the community that I have built during my time here.

During my summers in between my years at college I worked at Shrine Mont Camps; cabin councilor and camping director respectively during my two consecutive summers. It is here that I learned about the YASC program and I could not be happier about my decision to work at St George's camp.
Those who know me, know that I am passionate about adventure and caring for others. Because of this, YASC is a perfect fit. Although I admit to being nervous, as I have never lived but so far from my parents home, I am excited for the opportunity. I am here to be sent by God.
